The HIV Prevention Planning Council (HPPC) guides HIV prevention in San Francisco, in collaboration with the San Francisco Department of Public Health (SFDPH). The HPPC is responsible for defining the populations at greatest need of HIV prevention services, as well as deciding what are the best ways to meet those needs. The SFDPH, in turn, is responsible for funding programs and services that match the HPPC’s decisions.

This work group is scheduled to start in the summer. The objective of this work group is to plan and implement the 2023San Francisco HPPC annual community engagement event.

The goal of the work group is to synthesize existing information to create the plans and give the HIV Prevention Section feedback about the draft plans.

The work group will focus on developing a transition process that will take the current membership and reduce it to the number maximum voting members, while ensuring Parity, Inclusion, and Representation; as well as meet the requirements of the stakeholders identified through the various grants.

This work group is scheduled to start in the summer. The objective of this work group is to plan and implement the 2022 San Francisco HPPC annual community engagement event.

This work group will follow-up on the action steps identified at the January 2022 HPPC meeting and explore other current issues in substance use.

This group will meet three times with the goal of preparing for and defining the scope of work of the Joint Executive/Steering Committee that will mark the initiation of the merge of councils.

The work group will focus on reviewing and updating the Policies and Procedures Manual, to ensure that it is consistent with the revisions to the Bylaws adopted by the Council.
